The Call of Ruth - Pt 2

The Orpah part of the church was blessed by marrying Boaz and becoming a part of the Commonwealth of Israel through the Jewish Messiah, Jesus. But the Orpah part of the church has forgotten her mother-in-law, Naomi (Israel). Ruth did not forgot Naomi, but she chose to stay by her and to love her. Similarly, the Ruth part of the church chooses to stay by Israel and to love her. We married spiritually into the Commonwealth of Israel through the Messiah. Ruth, the Moabitess, cast her lot with the Jewish people and with the God of Israel. The Orpah church mindset and behavior has caused a stain on our wedding garments. There is a dangerous doctrine out there called Replacement Theology. It purports that the Church has totally replaced Israel. The Church doesn’t need her anymore. That is the Orpah church… that turned away and abandoned Naomi. Today the church, in a spirit of Ruth, needs to wrap our arms around Israel, our Naomi, and tenderly care for her by praying for her fervently, and blessing her in whatever way we can.
