The Candle of Peace

John 14:27 becomes our anchor: 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.' The world offers temporary relief, escapism, or numbness, but Jesus offers himself—the Prince of Peace living within us. Our role is to guard that peace, choosing not to let our hearts be troubled or afraid.
