The Cap Table Management Platform Every Founder Will Love: Ledgy /Episode 137

from The StartupShow by GlobalTechBox.com

Comfort zone is something being mentioned quite often these days, but what does it really means to step outside of it? We believe that entrepreneurship has a lot to do with breaking out of what you feel comfortable with, and in this episode Cédric talks about some entrepreneurial challenges with Ben-Elias Brandt, CEO & Co-Founder of Ledgy.Even though he only finished his studies a year ago, Ben-Elias Brandt has already developed a rich background and gained international experience. Originally from Germany, he spent a year volunteering in the Philippines, and then continued on to study Physics in Zurich. As a student, Brandt worked as a Software Engineer on the side and he also spent a semester in Paris. Once he completed his Master's degree, Brandt started his own venture, Ledgy.Ledgy is building the missing accounting software for a cap table management. A cap table is the written documentation of a company’s ownership. As funding rounds advance, the distribution of ‘who owns what’ gets more and more complicated. While listening to the entrepreneurs, the team behind Ledgy detected some of the main issues startups are dealing with: cap table errors happen, shares get lost, and eventually, issues arise between investors and startups. To prevent these unwanted scenarios, Ledgy came up with an online share register platform that brings together all stakeholders of a cap table. As Brandt reveals, their vision is to become the leading platform of its kind in Europe and they are already on the right track.Website https://www.ledgy.com/ How important is it to step out of your comfort zone and how to get a strong team of advisors on board are just some of the topics that we discuss in this episode.
