The case for the lower divisions: Immigration, Green Cards and American Soccer

from Beyond the 90 Podcast · host Kartik Krishnaiyer

Immigration enriches us all and has brought much positive to American Soccer and the country in general . But today it’s much more difficult as an aspiring American or US-raised player to make an MLS roster than it has been in the past thanks to work visas, and the number of foreign soccer players who eventually get green cards. Professional playing opportunities like that of any job or profession is critical for continued growth of the sport. This is a public episode.
