On June 27, 1995, 27-year-old Iowa news anchor Jodi Huisentruit was running late for work. She called her producer at 4 AM to say she overslept. She never arrived. In her apartment parking lot, police found her belongings scattered, her car keys bent, and signs of a struggle . A witness reported hearing a scream . Jodi has never been found . In 2026, private investigator Steve Ridge claimed he identified a suspect after a woman confessed her ex-boyfriend said "I did it" during a road rage meltdown . Police chief Mike McKelvey dismissed the claim as "baseless speculation" .
