Shannon's disappearance came only 8 months after the internationally known, disappearance of Madeline McCann. With The UK still reeling from that case, suddenly, another little girl was gone, so they did not waste any time. Within 24 hours, there were more than 200 officers, combing the streets for Shannon, but there were no leads, no evidence...she just, vanished. But friends close to Shannon's mother Karen, were beginning to notice some odd things about the way Karen was handling her daughters vanishing.
