The Centre for Conflict Resolution hosts a dialogue on LGBTI rights

South Africa's constitution was the first in the world to forbid discrimination based on sexual orientation, and it is the only African country to date to allow same-sex marriage. Yet, anti-gay violence still persists. The Centre for Conflict Resolution hosted a dialogue on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights yesterday in Cape Town. The meeting which was under the theme Equality and Inclusion on Paper Versus Practice, was to look at the gap between policy and its possible challeges to implementation.
