What this episode covers
Join Our Community Here: https://www.lifeintransition.online/ What happens to a man when everything that defined him disappears at once? Ray Martin thought he had it figured out. He'd followed the program faithfully, the career, the marriage, the company, the status, all of it. As CEO of a successful business in England, he'd built exactly the life he'd been told would make him happy. Then his wife and business partner came home from a meeting and told him she was leaving. Both the marriage and the company ended at the same time. His father fell ill and died shortly after. Three anchor points, gone in rapid succession. And Ray had no idea who he was without any of them, because he'd never actually found out. What followed was one of the most unexpected reinvention stories Art has recorded. Ray ended up in Australia caring for a friend with cancer. A chance visit to the theater led to an audition he attended as a joke. He got the lead role. And somewhere in the process of playing a character on stage, he realized for the first time that Ray the businessman had been a character too. A role he'd been playing so long he'd confused it for himself. This is a conversation about the off-the-shelf life story most men inherit without questioning, what it costs when it stops working, and what becomes possible when a man finally stops performing and starts actually living.
