UCL IA US Foreign Policy and National Security Seminar Series: The Changing Nature of US Warfare in the 21st Century. The UCL IA US Foreign Policy and National Security Seminar series is a new seminar series that will be running throughout the year at the UCL Institute of the Americas, 51 Gordon Square, London. The objective of the series is to engender discussion and debate with both students and the wider public, regarding a broad mix of both contemporary and historical US Foreign Policy and National Security issues. The programme will encompass a series of panels and roundtable discussions, by leading scholars in the field. Our inaugural seminar, “The Changing Nature of Warfare in the 21st Century,” will be on Tuesday 22nd October, 2019, at the UCL Institute of the Americas, 51 Gordon Square, London, WC1H 0PN. Panellists Dr Chris Fuller, Associate Professor in Modern US History at the University of Southampton, author of See It/Shoot It: Secret History of CIA’s Lethal Drone Program (2017): “National Security in the Digital Domain: The Problematic Rise of US Cyber Command.” Dr Maria Ryan, Assistant Professor in American History, University of Nottingham, author of Neoconservatism and the New American Century (2010): “Full spectrum dominance": globalization, conflict and U.S. national strategy in the 21st century." Dr Tom Watts, Teaching Fellow in War and Security at Royal Holloway, University of London: “Remote Warfare and the Changing Character of Western Interventionism.”
