The Charge of Being Fishers of Men The world has trained us to think and see on worldly terms, thus securing us for the way of death, but God desires we be liberated from this tyranny and think and see clearly. Psalm 96:5-6 reads 5 for all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 6 Splendor and majesty are before Him, strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. This Psalm sets up the contrast that with God we find splendor and majesty, strength and beauty, but outside of Him are all of the gods, idols, and systems of thought which are ultimately ugly and insane.
