It used to be that people waited for the facts, but with AI-generated videos, it creates confusion. Chuck: It alters how people process information. They see convincing footage—even historical recreations—and assume it's real without checking whether it's authentic. Charlie James: It's often easier for people to remain misinformed than to admit they were misled. Chuck: That's right, because no one likes to admit a mistake. We've seen similar patterns in how high-profile legal cases are discussed online, where people ignore clear statements or facts. Charlie James: I appreciate the call, Chuck. Looking back at data from a 2020 Pew Research study analyzed by political scientist Zach Goldberg, there were notable statistics regarding mental health reports among young adults. Among white liberal women aged 18 to 29, approximately 56.3% reported having been diagnosed with a mental health condition, compared to lower percentages among moderate and conservative peers. Subsequent Gallup data from recent years showed that only 15% of young American women rated their mental health as excellent, down from 48% in 2010.
