Could I get one second back, so I can throw a Hail Mary? That would be great. Anyway, welcome to the program! If you know what that was about, you know what that was about. Crazy football this weekend. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Want to start off the program by going to Dan in Anderson. Dan, welcome, how are you? Dan: Hey Charlie. Listen, I just had a... I had a call from a fellow alarmed member of the Anderson County Republican Party over here just a while ago, saying that he had heard a commercial on your station saying there was some poll that was favoring... that was against closing the primaries in Anderson County. Are you familiar with that? Charlie James: I have not heard that, no. Dan: Well, I can guarantee you, having been a part of the Republican Party as long as I have, on the state board for 16 years, that there is absolutely no truth to that as far as the majority of Republicans in South Carolina. Charlie James: All you got to do is just look at every time it was on the primary ballot. Dan: Right, but you know, some PAC... of course, I'm sure there's some... I'm sure there's some organization for integrity in voter whatever, whatever, you know what they do. I'm sure it's some PAC that's trying to do that, but I just didn't know if you were aware of that. So when it comes on next, if you might... it might be good for some discussion, okay? Charlie James: Yeah, you're exactly right. I appreciate it, Dan. Thank you very much. Every single time that that has been on the ballot, it passed overwhelmingly. Overwhelmingly! That's just... I mean, that's crazy. It really is. In fact, let me just go here. If you go back and you look at... trying to get this on... Oh, I can't find it, but I mean, how many times was it on the ballot? Plenty! Again, passed every single time. I will listen out for that PAC ad there. Well, we've got 55 days until the midterms. And some people are reporting... in fact, my wife said today that she was... I forget where she was... she went to the gym. On the way back from the gym, she said gas was $4.09. Wow. $4.09! That's horrific. Especially since over the past couple of days, we've heard about all of this oil that was passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Oh yeah, it's almost at pre-military exercise levels. So why is it going up? Why does it keep on going up? Does it have anything to do with what's going on in the Gulf? You know, we had a little hurricane here or there, but I mean, no big deal. Why does gas keep coming up? Gerald from Cowpens said that it was $4.09 in Cowpens. Why? President Trump keeps talking about how coming up, these gas prices are going to... they're just going to tank. They're going to bottom out. You guys are going to... oh, there's going to be gas coming out of everywhere, you know. But here's the thing: if he doesn't do something about this quickly, then... and if gas does start going down, listen to what I'm telling you here, it'll happen... if gas starts going down after the midterms, the Democrats and the mainstream media are going to give all of the credit to the Democrats. "Well, look, all we had to do was just win the midterms and we got the gas prices down!" Pretty amazing. Let's see, "Charlie, just heard the same commercial about keeping the primaries open, and they said the majority of people favor it." That's just an out-and-out lie. That's an out-and-out... Now, I do remember Weston Newton. Weston Newton said that he saw a poll where only 16% of South Carolinians approve. Why? Why would any Republican... Now, wait a minute. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me ask you something. In that poll that they're talking about, who was the sample? Who was the sample? Did they sample Democrats or did they sample Republicans? That's what I want to know. Because listen, if I were a Democrat, hell, ...
