The Chase: Part 3, The Chase to the End

The title of Message: The Chase to The End.   (2 Chronicles 16:9) “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”   (Galatians 5:7) “You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?”   (Revelation 1:3) “Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”   7 principals of chasing to the end. 1.  Chase with your first love (Revelation 2:4-5) …“You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.”   2.  Chase with faithfulness   (John 16:33) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” 3.  Chase with a Balance   (Revelations 2:14-15) “…You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.”   4.  Chase without Immorality   (Revelations 2:20)  “Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.” (2 Timothy 4:3-5) (MSG) “You're going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food—catchy opinions that tickle their fancy. They'll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you're doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God's servant.”   5.  Chase with Zeal   (Revelations 3:2) “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God.”   6.  Chase with respect toward the Word of God   (Revelations 3:8) “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”   7.  Chase with repentance   (Revelations 3:15) “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!”   (Revelations 3:17-18) “You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”   (Revelations 3:19-20)  “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
