Being in many various TV and musical productions, Baez had a seemingly promising career in singing and dancing until having her world turned upside down and being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Despite this life-changing news, Gina didn’t give up and has survived the odds. Gina is back to being a full-time actress, singer, and songwriter, landing roles in Orange Is the New Black and numerous theatrical productions. Baez’s love and passion for songwriting have always been the driving force behind her creativity and what helped her cope while battling for her life. Being on the other side of a cancer diagnosis, she has chosen to extend her platforms to spread messages of positivity.
