In this episode, we sit down with Scott McDowell, son of Sean McDowell and grandson of Josh McDowell, for a vulnerable and honest conversation about the hidden battle he and so many young men face with pornography.Even though Scott came from a legacy of well-known Christian leaders who educated him about the dangers of pornography, he found himself in the trenches with a secret that he believed would bring shame on the family name if anyone found out. From the outside, he looked like the “good Christian guy.” But behind the scenes, he was believing the lies that so many people fall prey to: “I can quit whenever I want,” “It’s not really affecting me,” and “If it is damaging, it’s only hurting me.”Eventually, God began to show him that pornography was doing more damage than he realized and was affecting his relationship with God, his confidence, his dating relationship, and so much more.
