Michael and Mary Davis' discipleship teaching, they explore the critical difference between having a "kingdom mentality" and a "church mentality." They argue that the church mentality often distracts believers from their direct relationship with the King, Jesus Christ. This episode delves into:The definition of Kingdom vs. Kingship: Understanding the territory ruled by a king versus the individual's relationship with the ruler. The danger of a church-centric focus: How it can lead to control by religious institutions rather than a personal connection with God.The true meaning of Ecclesia: Highlighting the biblical concept of those called out to rule, empowered by the Holy Spirit. The contrast with worldly systems: Drawing a parallel with illegal immigration to illustrate being in a territory without accepting its laws, and how this relates to believers and God's kingdom.Personal anecdotes of controlling church environments: Sharing experiences of churches demanding specific commitments and finances from their members. The nature of our King: Emphasizing God's desire for a personal relationship, communication, and teaching with individuals. The problem of denominationalism: Discussing how adherence to specific denominational doctrines can overshadow the direct word of God.The importance of a kingship mindset: Encouraging viewers to see themselves as subjects of the King, directly ruled by God.The concept of freedom within the Kingdom: Explaining how greater obedience to the King's law leads to greater freedom, similar to a child maturing under parental guidance. The call to listen to the King: Underscoring the need to receive God's law and allow Him to live through believers. This teaching challenges viewers to examine their own perspectives and prioritize a direct, personal relationship with King Jesus over institutional control.#KingdomMentality #ChurchMentality #Discipleship #ChristianLiving #RelationshipWithGod #JesusChrist #BibleTeaching #Ecclesia #FreedomInChrist #Obedience #DrMichaelAndMaryDavis In the Great Commission, there is a statement: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:19 NAS) Discipleship is a command that is overlooked by many!
