The Circle S4 Alum John Franklin’s Debut Standup Special Coming to TubiTV This Summer John is slated to release his debut comedy special, The Specialist, via Tubi TV this summer along with a nine-day standup stint at Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August!     Growing up as “the perpetually awkward kid” in New Jersey, John’s storytelling style was most inspired by the sounds of the Jersey Shore including Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny & The Asbury Dukes. Combining his love of these artists with personal experiences ranging from bullying to one-night stands, to parental advice, The Specialist will be John’s first recorded standup special in his home state. Shot in Asbury Park, where Bruce himself started his career back in the day, John will recount the horrors, happenstances, and other relatable moments that brought him to become the storytelling comedian he is today.    John will also be performing at the biggest comedy and arts festival in the world, Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. He will be doing a standup show a day at Greenside at Infirmary Square from August 4th to 12th—shows will include new material from John to be filmed.
