The Clockmaker's Missing Heart
from Christmas Stories
Barnaby, a clockmaker, discovers the Great Chime Gear, essential for the Solstice ceremony, is missing from his shop. Piper, an apprentice cartographer, is mapping the town and notices a deliberate blank space on the historical survey corresponding to the old clock tower site in the Whispering Woods. Barnaby finds the gear outside his shop, snagged with a blue ribbon leading toward the woods. They deduce that the person responsible for moving the gear may have been distracted by the ongoing drama of the Star placement on the Spruce tree, leading Barnaby and Piper to team up and investigate the woods.
