The Cloister bell and sounds of Music: The relationship with Autism, ADHD & Doctor Who

Today I am joined with Alan who has been in the process of getting a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. The time of this recording 3 weeks ago he did get confirmation he has ADHD and is on the waiting list to get seen for a Autism diagnosis, Alan is pretty sure he is autistic too. During today's discussion we talk about music, Autism, ADHD and Doctor Who! We share moments in Doctor Who we relate to as it's a comfort show and how quotes and mannerism play a massive part in our lives and we wouldn't have it any other way! We say it would be awesome for a superhero like the Doctor to go flying round the globe!  Alan brings up the point of when Graham a character in Doctor Who had cancer and asked the doctor for advise, and she didn't respond, Alan related to the Doctor's response in a neurodiverse kind of way, because from a question like that does strike you what are you going to respond ? there are lots of mixed opinions in this scene.  We also talk about Clothes, food textures and speech within Autism and Alan explains that it's tiring to explain ourselves and how we have come along way to be where we today!
