The College Compass

In our 11th episode, we explore college paths after high school. In 2021, Whitney HS grad Sophia Perkins had a 4.5 GPA and could have easily gone straight to a four-year university, but she made the decision to attend community college instead. In this episode, Justin Sneed and Ananth Bhandarkar talk with Sophia about her perspective on why she chose this path, despite the common stigma that community college is a last resort, and discusses how it can be a practical option for many students seeking to further their education.
