The Color of Wine Presents: Jameelah Lewis of Uncorked DC and Uncorked Maryland

In this eleventh episode of our fourth season we had the pleasure of speaking with Jameelah Lewis of Uncorked DC and Uncorked Maryland! Jameelah's Bio: Affectionately dubbed the "The Wine Lady" by her students, Jameelah Lewis, is a known and trusted wine enthusiast and educator. She obtained her Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level III certification from Capital Wine School in Washington, DC. She is a proud alumna of The City College of New York where she obtained her BA in Jewish Studies and Political Science and will complete her PhD in Law and Public Policy in December of 2018. In 2014, she launched Fruit of the Vine, LLC (FOTV) taking hundreds of wine novices and veterans on the journey of wine knowledge and appreciation. Jameelah envisions a world in which everyone has the confidence to explore, ask questions, and find the joy in challenging themselves in selecting wine. Dedicated to sharing her love and knowledge of wine, she loves moments when she can guide someone to fall in love with a different grape they would have not ever considered before.  Jameelah's spirited students shout her mantras, "Be kind to your wine", and "Not sure…Pinot Noir" with vigor at FOTV's sold out events. Fruit of the Vine began as an all-inclusive wine tasting experience and excitement is brewing, as her dream becomes a reality, with the opening of the wine bar in DC in 2019.
