The Comfort of Community

When I was very young, I once became upset with my mother. "I'm going to run away," I said to her.After a few minutes, my wise mother said in a calm voice, "Can I help you pack?" That surprised me and made me feel even more frustrated. "Where are you going?" she asked me. I did not answer her because I had not thought about that. I then realized how much I would miss my parents, sister, brothers, and friends. I quietly went to my room.We find God through the faith, hope, and love of others who believe in Him. They encourage us and comfort us in our time of need — sometimes in ways that surprise or even frustrate us at first. We accompany each other on our spiritual journey home to Him.
