Not only is the word of God sufficient in providing everything that we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), but it also speaks authoritatively in all areas of life. Many people in our culture today have a negative view of authority in general, but as Christians, we can (and should) view God's authoritative Word as comforting. God's Word is the fountain of all knowledge and wisdom! By learning it, trusting it, and doing it, we can develop much needed discernment that will help us make God-honoring decisions. Therefore, we should willingly submit our lives to the God of the Word, joyfully search His Word out, and seek to apply in our lives. During these turbulent times in our world, God speaks authoritatively.
