The Commonwealth Beat with Laura LeBeau is a statewide Public Affairs program airing on all Seven Mountains Media Pennsylvania radio stations.  If you're a person of a certain age, you might remember America's Bicentennial in 1976.  The USA is coming up on the next milestone in the American timeline, the Semiquincentennial, marking the nation's 250th birthday!  On this episode, we'll discuss what's in store in Pennsylvania, the cradle of American independence, with Cassandra Coleman, Executive Director of America250PA.  That's the organization established by the PA General Assembly back in 2018 to oversee the Keystone State's celebration.  The Pennsylvania State Police recently released their annual analysis of traffic stops conducted in 2023, and the findings show there's no racial bias or preference in who they're ticketing or arresting.  The results of that study will be discussed by Lt. Adam Reed, Director of Communications for the PSP.
