The Commonwealth Beat with Laura LeBeau is a statewide Public Affairs program airing on all of the Seven Mountains Media Pennsylvania radio stations.  Powering Pennsylvania.  That was the theme of the 2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show.  With annual revenue totaling $132B, the impact of the work farmers do in this commonwealth cannot be overstated.  Agriculture touches every single Pennsylvanian, since we all must eat and find places to live that take us out of the elements!  And when you factor in the many other segments of the agricultural industry, from production forestry, to science and technology, to backyard gardening and even trimming a Pennsylvania-grown Christmas tree, agriculture is at the center of it all.  On this edition of The Commonwealth Beat, a look at the importance of farming, from those who make policy regarding it, to those who raise the livestock and even some of the young people who champion it!
