The Commonwealth Beat with Laura LeBeau - Episode 76 - 04/13/25

The Commonwealth Beat with Laura LeBeau is a statewide Public Affairs program airing on all of the Seven Mountains Media Pennsylvania radio stations.  Every month of the year has a designation, and in fact, most months have several.  Such is the case for the month of April.  In  addition to being Alcohol Awareness Month, National Financial Literacy Month, National Garden Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, International Guitar Month and Distracted Driving Awareness Month, it's also World Autism Awareness Month.   In an expanded conversation, two parents of adult autistic children speak out.  Patty Ericson's daughter is 34, and Tom Flynn's son is 33.  They talk about their journey they've been on for the past 30 years, and how the diagnosis, outlook and services for autistic people have changed, and how they've changed too.
