Roy Aguilar and Norma Cable, both from the Green Valley/Amado Resource Centers, were special guests on Around the Cracker Barrel with Guy Atchley last Friday. They discussed the many resource centers in our area, including Tucson, Marana, Amado, Nogales, and Green Valley, and explained how these centers are funded. Norma spoke about the many counties the Community Food Bank serves.  Some of the Food Choices, including Milk and Eggs and how distribution is handled is shared by Norma and Roy. Healthy Choices with Fruits and Vegetables are also available.  They also provided details about the upcoming Hunger Walk, which is scheduled for September 14th in Tucson and Green Valley. The Walk in Green Valley will be at the historic Canoa Ranch and Tucson at the Kino Sports Complex with the Walk Promptly at 8am. For those that can't make it to the walk, they can still donate online and also do a Virtual Walk!
