The Compass, Not the Clock

The compass showed up more than a thousand years before the clock ever did. I don't know if that was intentional. But I love the symbolism anyway. "The destination was the whole point. The timeline was whatever it turned out to be." Wanting something now isn't the problem. Letting someone else's deadline decide your worth is.
