The Complexity Of Community

Community is a group of people that are bound together in a specific locality or by common interest. The common interests can be in multiple areas, whether governance, culture, values, interest, passion, heritage, and purpose.What are the Complexities of Community:Complexity is the state or quality of being complicated or detailed. 1.INDIVIDUALS - We must have mercy, grace, and compassion with an individual going through the process of sanctification, growth, maturity, as they discover their identity in Christ.2.GENERATIONS - God is a generational God (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). The younger generation fears not being heard, not being granted freedom of expression and opportunity, and fear suppression. The older generation dislikes change, fear being ignored and side-lined, and being made redundant.3.GENDER - Our nationality, culture, and background impact how we view, treat, and respond to the opposite gender.4.PERSONALITIES AND GIFTS - We need to be aware of individuals’ gifts and personalities so that we can celebrate them and make room for them, otherwise frustration will set in.5.CULTURE AND BACKGROUND - A Kingdom culture overrides all cultures and backgrounds. We need to celebrate other cultures so that we don’t rob ourselves from a multi-faceted, multi-generational God.6.SYSTEM AND STRUCTURE - We need it to function, but when we end up with only rules and regulations, we end up in dead works (an activity with no life).
