The Connected AI Podcast: How AI can aid workplace safety

Welcome to the latest episode of the Connected AI Podcast, a fortnightly podcast presented by Charlie Taylor, the Business Post's technology editor, and Elaine Burke, one of our leading contributors. The Connected AI Podcast, which is brought to you in association with Expleo, aims to cut through the hype and get to the heart of AI for business, with expert guests offering their advice, and the hosts giving their take on big developments in the space. In the latest episode we're talking to Dan Hobbs, co-founder and chief executive at Protex AI, workplace safety platform that has raised over €50m in funding in just three years. Dan will be talking on computer vision, how AI can be used in health and safety, scaling a big business from Ireland, and more. In addition, Charlie and Elaine are chatting on the cost of Gen AI subscriptions, the corruption of AI platforms by a Russian disinformation network, the sale of Irish firm Getvisibility, and a backlash against a startup called Optifye.ai. They also demo a new app that uses the Google Vision API to see how much can be inferred about you from a single photo. The Connected AI Podcast. You won't want to miss it.
