The Connor Dean

Rising bull riding star Connor Dean takes us on an exhilarating journey through his life in the rodeo, from his family roots in western Washington to his ambitious career goals. Listen as Connor shares the inspiration he drew from his uncles and younger brother, which set him on the path to compete at just seven years old. His strategic choice to focus on high school rodeo and the Challenge of Champions Tour highlights his dedication to the sport, despite the inevitable challenges and injuries he faces. Connor's aspirations extend beyond high school rodeos as he eagerly transitions to the competitive CCT and PRCA circuits. He reveals his experiences at his first CCT event in Heppner, Oregon, and his determination to climb to the finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming. We explore his future plans, including the pursuit of a PRCA permit and a potential backup career in welding or ag business, with an eye toward college life in Odessa, Texas. Join us as we chat about the excitement of the CCT event at Jackson County Fairgrounds and the anticipation of watching his favorite riders. Connor opens up about the camaraderie and rivalries in bull riding, underscoring the importance of supportive friendships, particularly with fellow senior JC. We also touch on the lighter side of life on the road, discussing road trip habits, food preferences, and the eclectic music choices that accompany Connor and his companions across the vibrant world of bull riding.
