Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba: The Conquest of Faith (Part 2) On the second instalment of the new series, ‘The Conquest of Faith’, Pastor Tai takes us a little deeper into the exploration of faith in action. Quick summary of last week: a) sometimes ‘frenemies’, friends with whom you have competition with and maybe even a little rivalry with, are an essential part of the journey; b) God often uses frenemies to develop strength of character within us and c) running from these frenemies could mean running from destiny. All caught up? Great! Today, we take a look at how we often allow fear to fight against our faith, rather than letting our faith fight against our fear. We often quote 2 Timothy 1:7 but rarely do we live it because if we’re honest with ourselves, we often let fear do the talking. So that begs the question, is there a way to change that? Yes, there is! Here are 3 quick things you can do to use your faith to confront your faith: 1) stay single-minded, keep your eyes firmly fixed on God; 2) start making decisions fuelled by faith otherwise, fear will paralyse you and jeopardise your future and 3) stay in the place of rest, because resting in God is what gives us confidence to press on forward.
