To truly understand the biblical definition of faith, you must read Hebrews 11. The scripture shows how imperative faith is as a Christian and gives clear examples of what faith can do. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen”. You may visibly see your problems, but that invisible substance called faith is what will pull you through any situation you find yourself in. By faith, what may appear impossible, will be made possible. Just like the foundation of a building, you don’t actually see the building’s foundation but it is the reason why the building is able to stay up.
