Date: 11.16.08 Speaker: Kristian Martens Summary: Jude, the half-brother of Jesus, after 30 years as a missionary, offers a timely warning for any new church...watch out! The false gospel of religion will repeatedly & relentlessly attempt to undermine the truth of the Gospel. Don't let it! Stand firm. Be on guard! Jude writes to a Christian audience - reminding them that are called by God, loved by God and kept by God. He then prays that mercy, peace & love would be multiplied to them. But then, just as hes about to pen a nice devotional replete with Thomas Kincade-like illustrations, he becomes compelled to change directions - offering instead a hard & contentious message. In essence, he calls us to Content for the Faith!
