The coolest mascot you've ever seen.......
from 4 Years a Slave Hosted by Cody Sewell
Every military community has its legends—and Pararescue is no exception. In this clip from Four Years a Slave, I sit down with former Air Force Pararescueman and political commentator Aaron Love (@AaronLovesAmerica) to discuss one of the most unique traditions in the special operations community: Charlie, the famous Fijian head mascot of the Pararescue world. Aaron breaks down the history, myths, traditions, and lore surrounding Charlie, explaining how a seemingly unusual mascot became a lasting symbol within the PJ community. From deployment stories to unit culture, we explore how traditions like these help build identity, camaraderie, and esprit de corps among some of the military's most elite rescue professionals. Whether you're a PJ, military history enthusiast, or just curious about the strange and fascinating traditions that exist across the armed forces, this is a story you won't hear anywhere else. #Pararescue #PJ #USAF #AirForce #SpecialOperations #AARONLOVESAMERICA #AaronLove #MilitaryHistory #MilitaryCulture #SpecialOperationsForces #CombatRescue #VeteranLife #MilitaryPodcast #FourYearsASlave #AirForceSpecialWarfare #EspritDeCorps #MilitaryTraditions #RescueWarrior #VeteranStories #PodcastClip
