The Cord Was Cut!!!

Thanks so much and let’s keep this conversation going When she left...it was like somebody took a pair of scissors and cut an invisible umbilical cord that I had been holding me together my whole life.  And just like that...I was out here...in this cold, cold, world...with no one who really knew me, no one who really love me the way she did.You see, when you lose someone like that--someone who was your safe place, your security blanket, your everything--you don't just lost a person..you lost the version of yourself that existed when they were here.  I kept asking myself...how do I go on now? How do I take another step when the one person made this world feel bearable and made it make sense is gone?I want to ask you...when you went through your loss, how did you do it? Did you seek therapy? Did you join a support group? Did you turn to your faith? Or...are you like me sometimes...still walking through the days with that quiet ache, trying to figure it out?Because the truth is...I'm still learning how to live without her.  Some days, I'm strong. Other days, I'm right in that moment...feeling that cold wind hit me...wishing I could just hear her voice one more time.So tell me...how did you go on?
