The Cornfield Quadruple Homicide: A Tale of Betrayal and Ballistics

from Matter of Fact: A play on "matter" (physics) and "facts" (news). · host Larry White

In September 2021, a Wisconsin farmer discovered a Mercedes SUV abandoned in a cornfield containing the bodies of four victims who had been fatally shot at close range. Investigators used surveillance footage and cell phone signals to track the movements of the primary suspect, Antoine Suggs, and his father, Darren Suggs, who assisted in transporting the bodies and disposing of evidence across state lines. Despite Antoine's claims of self-defense during a drug-related robbery, forensic evidence and his composed behavior after the shootings led to his conviction and a 102-year prison sentence, while his father was sentenced to five years for his involvement.
