I reflect on the ongoing war in Ukraine and the devastating toll it takes on humanity. The loss of life, the failures of leadership, and the disillusionment with politics weigh heavy. In this seeming sololoquy, we are confronted with the harsh realities of war and must come to question what true peace requires. We must ask ourselves; can we move beyond empty rhetoric to real solutions? And since we live in an era where power outweighs principle, where leaders manufacture conflicts to serve their own interests while the innocent pay the price. We are left with no choice but to look at our wars. Wars that are no longer seen as last resorts but as profitable industries, sustained by greed and indifference. And so, our time remains one marked by an alarming disregard for human life—refugees drown in silent waters, children grow up amid ruins, and entire generations inherit nothing but trauma. Yet, we justify our violence with ideologies, while failing to confront the real enemy; our collective apathy.
