Sins of tongues are a heart problem. “For out of the abundance of his heart he speaks.” Luke 6:45Double-mindedness is also a heart problem. “Purify your heart, you double-minded.” James 4:8But a carnal mind is associated with disobedience in offering your body as a living sacrifice to God.You crucify your flesh to strengthen your spirit. You offer your body to God to receive a renewed mind, so that you will know the will of God, which is good, acceptable, and perfect. (Romans 12:2)If you can’t repent of your sin of lust—by repentance, I mean making a decision to cut it out—you will NEVER discover the best that God has reserved for you.Don’t quote scripture piece by piece like a rigid nerd—quote it as you absorb the whole Bible and the Word becomes yours.
