The Cost of Pets

Most people would do anything for the wellbeing of their pets.  Some are even forced to choose between housing and keeping their pets. Rising costs of pet ownership, including significant increases in veterinary care linked to private equity buyouts, are making pet ownership feel like a luxury. We talk with both Gateway Pet Guardians and The Animal Protective Assn. of Missouri about the rising costs of owning pets and what each organization offers to to help people adopt pets, but also keep them in their homes.
