The Courage To Step In

from NBCC Podcast · host NBCC Podcast

In this second message of the ‘Hope of Peace’ series, Pastor Hurmon uses Joseph’s actions in the reading to demonstrate the importance of courage in our walk with God. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the audacity to face fear and act anyway. It allows us to face with fear with faith in God’s ability to meet us in our situation. Peace often requires the courage to step into uncomfortable circumstances, whether that is in our walk with God to repair relationships with others in our lives. Courage requires small steps of obedience, but those small steps taken consistently can change your life. When being courageous feels hard, remember that courage is strengthened by living one day at a time. Pastor Hurmon also reminds us to learn the Serenity Prayer as it is a prayer that God is anxious to answer in our lives and is structured to change how we engage in life through periods of crisis.
