The Courage to Trust

from First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin · host First UU Church of Austin

Guest speaker Jim Checkley's sermon delivered on July 8, 2012. According to polls, "trust" is at an all time low within our country. Government, lawyers, the media, politicians, and others are setting all time low marks for trust. They say that when trust is broken in a relationship, it is very difficult to repair and it is usually time to move on. But how do you move on from yourself? Moreover, trust is not just an external phenomenon; it is in fact important to our own inner well being, and somewhat like forgiveness, often says more about us than about them.
