The Covenant of Relationship - Rev. Richard Kakulu

Hebrews 10:16-18 Good News Translation 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts and write them on their minds.” 17 And then he says, “I will not remember their sins and evil deeds any longer.”  18 So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed. Jesus Christ came and created for us direct access to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This access is relationship with God. God is more interested in your heart than in your externals. Relationship is the bedrock for every goodwill. Relationship is a very strong currency. Employ it. Don't live the OYO (On Your Own) type of life. Build relationships because relationship is the pathway to goodwill. How to Build Relationships: Build relationships by getting interested in the things that affect people. Visit people, check up on people, help people. Build relationship not just because of what you want to gain, but also because it is expedient. God used the currency of relationship to win us over to Himself. It is easier to respond to love than to give love. Regardless of what you do, the pressure is on God to deliver. Whether you are faithful or not, God remains faithful. (2 Timothy 2:13) Your imperfections cannot stop God from blessing you. Your faithlessness cannot stop God from blessing you. God is obligated to deliver on His word. God is not angry with you, He does not hate. He says, come as you are. The most important thing you need as a believer is the consciousness of who you are. The devil will always first attempt to attack your identity. Whatever grace has provided, you claim by faith.
