Jake Gyllenhaal plays Sergeant John Kinley, who needs a new interpreter to help him fight the Taliban in Afghanistan. Enter Ahmed, a brave, intelligent Afghani who dances to his own tune but to the benefit of John’s squad. John finds himself wounded, deep in Taliban territory. Ahmed has to rescue him by caring for him and dragging him many miles back to his base. John and Ahmed are rescued, but where John gets to go back to America, Ahmed is stuck in Afghanistan with a high price on his head....
