The Crown That Belongs to Everyone [Day 177 - Orchos Tzaddikim | Torah 1]

In this opening lesson of the Gate of Torah (Shaar HaTorah), Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe introduces the three crowns described by our Sages: the Crown of Priesthood, the Crown of Kingship, and the Crown of Torah. While the priesthood belongs to Aaron and his descendants, and kingship belongs to the House of David, the Crown of Torah stands open to every single Jew. The Torah is not inherited by status, wealth, or family lineage—it is available to anyone willing to embrace it. The only requirement is the desire to learn and the commitment to make Torah one's own.Rabbi Wolbe explains why Torah study is considered equal to all the mitzvot combined. Torah learning is not an end in itself; it equips a person to observe, teach, and live the mitzvot with enthusiasm.
