The Crowning Fruit Of Compassion

The compassion of God to unbelievers is highlighted in the book of Jonah. His mercy shows even to those who disgrace and mock Him. ("I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion," appears in Romans 9:15). Because of anger, Jonah was reluctant to preach to the people of Nineveh. This message emphasized the need for Christians to emulate God's compassion and to extend the gospel to all.
