The Cultural Mandate of God

Responsibility for the earth makes sense because God created humanity as His representatives, not as its owners. People were made for three connected relationships: worshipping God, sharing fellowship with one another, and caring for creation under His authority. Sin damaged every bond. Jesus, the promised descendant who crushes the serpent, reconciles people to God and restores humanity’s purpose.
