Can you solve the puzzle?Truth or fiction? Like all good detective stories, this one starts with a surprising discovery. It began during the recent cold snap which allowed the wimpish Brits to have a new source of discussion about our fascinating weather conditions.I was braving the conditions on my regular morning shopping expedition to my nearby convenience store. As I was nearing my destination, I caught sight off a pair of black, heavy duty shoes of the kind I had noticed the construction workers were wearing as they queued up for their  morning bacon butties in the store.But these boots had been carefully attached by the boot laces to the bottom strut of the fencing at the side of the road. They were caked in frozen mud. My discovery puzzled me.
