The Cycle That Must Be Broken

Temptation often feels as if it came from somewhere else, but James points to the desires still lingering in the human heart. Desire becomes sin when entertained and acted upon, and grown sin brings destruction now and eternal death under God's final judgement. Yet temptation itself is not the same as sin. God gives every good gift and brings His people to new life through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
