Hello listeners, this is Josh Holzman, host of The Daily, speaking to you directly. I'd like to make a sort of harrowing announcement. I've decided to cancel the Daily because one, it's taking up a lot of my time and the amount of listeners I'm getting is just not paying off. Second of all, I realize it's not really the best content I can create.

It's not the best. It's not original content. I realize it's not really the spirit of Radio CSW and I realize it's not the spirit of CSW in general. I hope in the future to record more original content but in more sparse intervals, the Daily was really meant to keep the radio station constant and I realized that keeping a constant wouldn't really do anything in the amount of listen I'm getting and until we get more listeners, I think that's when more content will be put on.

I think without the Daily we will have enough content on this radio station. I will continue with Deep Lock Live Mondays and Wednesdays to report on how I'm working on the radio station and what I'm working on. I hope to work on more long range projects like more classical hours and performance hours weekly. Well not weekly but I'm a little sick.

So it's been a great run with the Daily. If you want to find out about world news, go to NPR.org or go to CNN.com. They have some pretty great resources. And if you're interested in CSW's website has some sufficient sources or if you want you can go try finding the story yourself.

And if you do find a good story, please do submit to the radio station. We could really use it and it will get maximum priority over all these other long range projects. Thank you so much for your listenership. I hope in the future we'll find more alliances with people and hopefully we'll have more student programming.

If you want to make this amount of programming on a weekly basis, I feel like if we can get whole affinity groups or student organizations involved, we can really boost the quality of this radio station to the point where we can actually have content on iHeartRadio which is a function of this record broadcasting system that we're currently broadcasting on. And if those of you who are listening, I'm wondering if you can submit to the radio station, yes of course it's very easy. I've made it hard to myself by one, worrying about recording quality and all that but my fancy microphone stuff, don't worry about that. That's just so we can have a good mixture of amateur and professional content.

And also frequency. I made it really hard for myself to really keep up. So I hope future radio submitters will not make the same mistake as I did. Again, I will continue posting content.

It won't be as frequent and it won't feel as much like a radio station but of course the site is not quite the radio station yet either. It's merely the beginning of something even greater I hope. So thank you so much listeners. It's been great and I've gotten a couple of compliments on the show and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

But now I'm going to the final frontier of broadcasting. I'm doing good quality. I'm going to be making good quality broadcasts now so keep checking the site weekly at least for more professional great content from this microphone. I'm glad I was able to at least envision the radio station as I wanted to be for a while.

I guess until then we'll have to keep it low for a little bit. And if there's anybody listening who's in the C.W. Griffin's I paper, the radio station meaning just me unfortunately is very interested in an alliance because knowing that the daily station wasn't purely original reporting or journalism. I think if we had real journalists actually reporting for the radio station it would be so amazing because I know the C.W.

Griffin's I is only semi-annual and the radio station is so much easier to produce than any newspaper. It's a little more loose. If you're interested in continuing the daily type thing with world news, local news, C.W. News, lunch menus, that kind of stuff, please contact me at jholson2016 at csw.org or at the official station email which is C.W.

Studio at csw.org. Thank you so much. And in the future we will have some really, really great content. It may not be as sparse but it's something worth checking out.

Thank you listeners. This is Jeff Altman signing off.
